5 Cool Things To Do With Your Kids In London

London is home to some of the world’s most beautiful architecture and home to the iconic clock tower, Big Ben. With all the historic sites you might think there’s not much to hold the interest of toddler or tween. But London has many cool attractions to keep your kids entertained.

Circus at Somerset House, Covent Garden

No clowns with red noses and oversized shoes at this circus! Instead, your kids will be entertained by Marawa and the Majorettes and their synchronized hula hooping and fast-paced hip-hop inspired footwork. They’ll hold their breath as Farm from the Norm balances the tight-wire and Chinese pole. The juggling troupe Gandini features 30 jugglers and will definitely keep the whole family entertained. Apple Summer Camp, Various Locations

For your techies, Apple hosts a three-day summer camp for children ages eight through 12. Each session is 90 minutes and there are three workshops to choose from. Your child can choose to edit a story using video clips, create music with Apple’s Garageband and coding. Assisting with coding is a little robot named Sphero. Sphero changes color, makes sounds and can navigate mazes. Registration required.

Kids Week Theatre

Okay so it’s not actually a week...it’s a whole month of shows for your child to enjoy! Kids Week invites children under the age of 16 to attend any show with an adult for free. Have more than one child? Two extra children’s tickets can be purchased for just half price. Children also get the chance to attend other free events, workshops and activities during this month. Including backstage tour and meet-and-greets!

River Stage Festival, South Bank

This festival is completely free for the entire family! Creatives are invited to take center stage with their acts and artists. There’s live music, DJs and workshops for the whole family. Food is plenteous and the street fare includes everything from pizza to ice cream! Your kids will love it!

The King’s Cross Bee Trail

We’re all learning just how important these little guys are to our ecosystem! The Bee Trail, developed by The Honey Club will lead you and your little ones around freshly created bee habitats. Walking the entire trail takes 45 minutes. You and the kids will learn about these insects and how we can help their communities flourish. Plus, as you walk the trail you can unlock vouchers to many of the restaurants and cafes in Kings Cross.
